The GIS (Global Infrastructure Services) group provides a large-scale infrastructure that is highly available and efficient to power our entire portfolio of LogMeIn products. We are currently hiring a Network Engineer based in the US. Responsibilities

As a Network Engineer, you will serve in a large global enterprise and will be responsible for providing Tier 3 operations including network design, configuration, and implementation. LogMeIn has a large network supporting many different products and technologies. Responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of highly available network architectures

  • Uptime and maintenance of our global production network infrastructure across multiple data centers

  • Capacity planning for LAN / WAN services

  • Monitor and troubleshoot network related issues and work diligently until issues have been resolved or handed off to the appropriate party

  • Work closely with project teams as operations resource for configuration and/or implementation support

  • Participate in daily monitoring and maintenance; respond to all related hardware and software-based problems and interface with vendor support service groups to ensure quick resolutions. Provide appropriate updates during outages or periods of degraded performance.

  • Help m anage BGP peering relationships

  • Work with service providers and data center remote hands support to schedule circuit turn ups and troubleshoot issues

  • 24x7 on-call rotation availability, and off-hours flexibility

Qualification s

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent

  • 3-4 years proven experience in large global production networks

  • Proven knowledge and configuration experience of Cisco WAN routers (2800, 3800, 7200) & LAN switches (3700, 4500, 4948, 6500), Cisco ASA / PIX Firewall, Juniper MX and QFX

  • Experience with BGP routing is preferred . eBGP , iBGP , peering with internet providers, troubleshooting internet routing issues

  • Proven knowledge and experience with QoS, R outing Pr otocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF , ISIS ), Spanning Tree, Layer 3 Switching, and VPNs ( IPSec , MPLS, VPLS) , eVPN , DMVPN

  • K nowledge working with cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure, etc )

  • K nowledge of automation scripting a plus ( Python, Perl, Bash or Ruby on Rails, etc.)

  • Working Knowledge of SDN or technologies like OpenStack, CloudStack is preferred

  • Must be self-motivated with strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skill s

  • The ability to work and team effectively with clients, management, and staff members in a multi-tiered, fast-paced environment

  • CCNP and/or CCIE certifications preferred. Any Cloud certifications is a plus
