Here at KL&A, we love what we do and believe that our employees are our greatest asset which is why we search for the best and brightest (and perhaps the most caffeinated) of the bunch. And we don’t mean to brag, but we’re honored to have been named a Top Workplace by the Detroit Free Press for the second year in a row.
Who You Are:
Technology is your passion. You love sharing technical knowledge across an organization and elevating those around you by mentoring and teaching others. You love working with innovative people and technologies and learning something new every day. You enjoy collaborating and working in a primarily virtual environment. Writing quality code and coaching others on best coding and design principles is important to you. You embrace the continuous learning mindset and apply it to everything you do. You love designing a system from the ground up and find joy in developing creative solutions that solve clients’ needs. You’re quick, fun, and happy to lend a hand to your colleagues. You may also enjoy the sweet aroma of a freshly brewed cup of joe or the occasional full-stack of pancakes.
About the Role:
As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for a technical team and making technical decisions in response to client needs. You’ll manage development team members by reviewing code and providing consistent feedback. You’ll help design and develop large-scale, web applications with a team comprised of fellow software engineers, project managers, business analysts, quality assurance analysts, and client stakeholders. You’ll be relied upon to oversee the team’s development processes and culture, as well as rapidly produce high-quality code within an agile software development environment.
